Time Out

Since I left Australia I've had a lot on my mind. Things like where I'm going to live and wanting a new job keep filling my thoughts. I've tried switching them off but they're still there at the back of my mind. I thought the excitement of travelling would over rule them, but I'm learning to just leave them there. Maybe I'm not supposed to block them, after all I'm not very good at dealing with issues, but running away always seemed like a good idea.

Having a couple of days of solitude has probably done me a world of good though. I'm completely out of my comfort zone, meeting new people and surrounded by a beautiful town rich in history.
It's quite funny though, I'm used to living an active lifestyle, I normally walk or run 6kms a day, so coming here I thought I would maintain my exercise routine. Well that hasn't really gone to plan. To leave the front door I need to at least put on about three layers of clothing and have a scarf and gloves!

One of my favourite things about coming to this town is walking around and exploring everything it has to offer. From the beautiful old Church and its gardens to the street of shops, it has a cute quaint old feeling. The people here are friendly and it's a lovely and peaceful town. Since coming here I feel a lot less apprehensive and more excited about the rest of my time here in the UK. I just hope I adjust to this weather soon!
