Sightseeing

During the second week of my stay I'm so lucky to be spending it with Chris, who has taken the week off work to show me around. The first few shops we've been to were quite cool and different, (from the ones we have in Oz) like Queens Gate in Petersborough, and the local tesco. Tesco isn't bad actually, you can get everything you need including alcohol and oh my the vegetarian options available are amazing! The shops are also open longer here, which is always good.

During our first main sightseeing trip Chris took me to Cambridge to go shopping, have lunch at Jamie Oliver's Italian and just have a wander about. It's a lot easier to travel by bus and train in England so we caught the bus. The sun was shining which took the chill off the 4 degrees and this made me happy 😄

The first thing on my agenda was I really needed some gloves, scarf and a beanie, but it had to match. I don't like things that don't match. We hunted everywhere for a matching set and I eventually found one. Hooray. Now I can be warm!

Cambridge is one of the most loveliest places I've ever been. The architecture is a mixture of old and new buildings, surrounded by parks and trees. The prestigious Cambridge University calls this place home and there is an air of pretentiousness wherever you go. People ride around on bikes and you have to get out of the way as they won't stop for you. Most of the shops are high end fashion labels, but that's okay, it's nice to be surrounded by well dressed folk.
